Over the past several years, Hispanics in the U.S. have experienced sustained homeownership growth. However, significant barriers continue to prevent them from purchasing homes at rates on par with other demographic groups.
The Hispanic homeownership rate increased to 48.4% in 2021–up from 47.5% in 2020– and is likely to reach 50% by 2025.
However, the percentage of new Hispanic homeowners relative to non-Hispanic white homeowners has consistently declined since 2017.
In 2021, 54.4% of new homeowners identified as non-Hispanic white, compared to only 18.1% who identified as Hispanic.
At the LIBRE Institute we make sure to help Hispanics in the U.S. to learn how to break those barriers and achieve their dreamed home.
The LIBRE Institute partner with local real estate professionals and home owners associations to inform and teach our communities what to do and how to do it if you want to become a home owner.
Despite the economic crisis, the number of new Hispanic homeowners is still rising and Hispanic households that already owned a home experienced exponential wealth creation thanks to rising home prices.
