Citizenship Courses

we believe in promoting a more prosperous Hispanic community, and with our American History and Civics Naturalization Program at The LIBRE Institute, we aim to provide individuals with the tools and knowledge necessary to overcome barriers to opportunity. By learning American history, our community will have a chance to prosper and create more opportunities for themselves and their loved ones. With the help and coordination of partners and contributors such as yourself, we are making a difference in people’s lives at a faster pace. It is also an opportunity for others to get to know your organization and/or expertise. Participants will attend an orientation session followed by consecutive sessions in which they will be introduced to principles of freedom, and the USCIS civics material to prepare for the citizenship interview.

Four week-long sessions, running 90 minutes, once or twice a week for Hispanic adults aged 30–50.

• Understand the harms of government overreach as exemplified by our native countries and throughout the History of the United States.
• Be able to learn about the benefits of citizenship in addition to gaining tangible knowledge that will aid the naturalization interview.

Week 1:   Why did you come to America?
Week 2:   American Government
Week 3:   American History
Week 4:   Integrated Civics

The LIBRE Institute prides itself in its ability to bring communities together through partnerships, our programs & special events. Our programs are more than just a skill; we want participants to walk away understanding the importance of freedom and to learn how to apply it in their everyday lives. Our discussion points may vary week by week, but we remain consistent in the need to promote a message of empowerment and self-reliance that focuses on breaking down barriers. We want our participants to understand the foundations of this country and their power to shape their own future and the future of the country by continuing to pursue their own version of the American Dream and becoming catalysts for positive change in their respective communities.
