Our Programs

Financial Literacy

The LIBRE Institute offers a diverse set of programs depending on geographical regions to help Hispanics to understand how to manage their finances and how economic freedom works to plan and fulfill their dreams in America.

From having your finances under control, achieving economic independence, starting a business, or buying your first house, financial literacy is a very important step in creating a solid foundation for your life and plans in the United States.

ECONOMIC FREEDOM

At LIBRE we believe in well-being through fiscal responsibility at home, and from our local and federal government. Households across the U.S. are running on tight budgets, while the federal government is spending more than it takes, putting the burden squarely on the shoulders of hard working Americans and future generations.

As we all know, millions of Latinos continue to lag and live paycheck to paycheck.  Increased government spending and inability to budget appropriately are some of the reasons our economy sunk so low that now it’s an uphill battle for every American to reestablish themselves. The government’s reckless spending of our tax dollars is leading our country to unsustainable levels of debt, impeding sustainable economic growth, and hindering the private sector’s ability to invest, produce and create jobs.

Individuals: Begin learning and understanding the benefits of personal and overall fiscal responsibility, how to build and manage wealth, and how to save for an on time retirement or for a big purchase.

Families: We must become informedand more involvedin our communities; we cannotremain living alienated. We must learn the steps to be taken in order to live debt-free and achieve financial independence. We must act now! We have to drop the  old spending habits and stick to a plan that puts us on a path to financial peace and independence. We must also demand the same of our localand federal government as they decidehow to spend the funds raised by our hard-earned dollars.

We are more than 60 million U.S. Hispanics strong, with a dream for a brighterfuture. Many of us lived in countries where government had too much control and influence over our lives.High unemployment, lack of freedom of speech, no opportunities to own your own business, and constant barriers to opportunity.   With so much potential, talent, and creativity, we need the chance to put those qualities to work. Hispanics are opening businesses at higher rates than any other demographic.
